General Description

A ride to and from camp, from a central bus stop, for campers in the Manchester, Essex area will be available. Camp will begin at 9:00 AM. We will have a martial arts based exercise class in the morning, which involves stretching, strengthening, and basic self-defense skills, followed by a short trip to a local park or beach where we play various sports and games such as Soccer, basketball, Wiffleball, Flag Football, Kick Ball, Ultimate Frisbee, Frisbee Golf, and Capture the Flag. We break for lunch; students bring their own lunch and water bottle. After lunch we play more sports and games. What we do each day depends on the weather. When it's hot, we may go to a beach. When it's very hot, we may stay inside for a few hours in the air conditioned classroom and play indoor games such as Arena Soccer and Dodge Ball. This year, camp will be on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, with the exception of week #2 when there will be no camp on Friday, July 3rd. Camp ends at 3:30 PM.

Endorsement

Since the Summer of 1986, this camp has been a place where many of my students, have spent most of their Summers. According to many students, and their parents, this is the best Summer Camp in the history of Summer Camps. Students who like my Tae Kwon Do program, love my Summer Camp. I try to create an environment where students can safely have as much fun as humanly possible, develop their athletic skills, and learn a few important lessons along the way. I have been told that this camp is even better and more fun than those other camps which often feature a teenaged counselor with a multicolored hairdo, or a pierced tongue and nose ring, where they get to play duck-duck-goose and weave gimp all day!

Graduates of this camp have gone on to become Captains of their High School Basketball, Wrestling, Hockey, Track, Soccer, Lacrosse and Football Teams. Five of the alumnus have been U.S. National Tae Kwon Do Champions.
